SalesPace legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SalesPace handles information across the public website, web application, CRM, APIs, integrations, and native iOS application.
1. Scope and who this policy covers
SalesPace is a field-sales and customer-relationship-management platform for individual sales representatives, managers, administrators, and business organizations. This policy applies when you visit the SalesPace website, create or use a SalesPace account, use a personal or company workspace, use the web CRM, use the native iOS app, contact support, purchase a data product, or connect an integration.
SalesPace accounts can be created directly through supported signup surfaces. Joining somebody else's existing company or team workspace requires an invitation or other authorization from that organization.
This policy also describes how SalesPace processes information about homeowners, prospects, customers, and other contacts whose records are entered, imported, purchased, or synchronized by a SalesPace customer even when those individuals do not themselves have a SalesPace account.
2. Information we collect
The categories of information SalesPace may process include:
- Account and profile information. Name, email address, authentication records, timezone, account creation and update timestamps, profile settings, role, workspace memberships, team memberships, and account status.
- Organization and team information. Company or workspace names, roles, invitations, team assignments, permissions, administrative settings, subscription or seat information, and related organization records.
- CRM and field-sales information. Lead, homeowner, prospect, or customer names; addresses; phone numbers; email addresses; notes; dispositions; appointments; follow-ups; go-backs; sales outcomes; lead source; territory and route assignments; and activity history.
- Work-session and performance information. Session start, pause, resume, and end times; doors knocked; conversations; appointments; sales; go-backs; active time; route distance; steps; performance ratios; goals; competition results; reports; and related productivity metrics.
- Location information. With permission, precise or approximate device location, route points, timestamps, accuracy values, speed/course/altitude where supplied by the device, and location associated with door or field activity.
- Health and fitness information. With permission, step count and walking/running distance read from Apple HealthKit for a relevant work-session period.
- Device and notification information. App installation identifier, APNs push token, notification authorization status, device model, operating-system version, app version, build number, and related non-secret device-registration metadata.
- Support information. Support category, subject, description, messages, related order information, app surface/version, and information you voluntarily provide while requesting help.
- Marketplace and transaction information. Product purchased, requested record count, amount, order status, provider, territory or geographic request information, checkout/session identifiers, fulfillment status, and transaction metadata. Full payment-card numbers are entered with the payment processor rather than stored by the SalesPace application.
- Consent and preference information. Privacy/permission decisions, disclosure versions, notification preferences, and timestamps associated with those choices.
- Technical and usage information. Authentication/session state, synchronization state, locally queued field activity, feature preferences, error/support context, and other technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
3. Location and route data
Location is a core field feature but is permission-based. On iOS, SalesPace uses Apple Core Location. On the web, location-enabled features use browser/device location APIs when you grant access.
During an active work session, SalesPace may use precise location to show your position, build a work route, calculate distance, support map workflows, associate activity with the correct door or area, and generate session and performance reports. Route points may include latitude, longitude, timestamp, location accuracy, and device-provided movement fields.
Background location is used on iOS only when you authorize Always Location and an active work session is running. The iOS implementation stops location updates when a session is paused or finished. Pending route points may be stored locally on the device until they can be synchronized to SalesPace.
You can change location permissions in iOS Settings or browser/device settings. Disabling location can limit map centering, GPS-tagged activity, route tracking, distance calculations, and related field features.
4. Apple Health and HealthKit
The native iOS app can request read-only HealthKit access for two data types: step count and walking/running distance. SalesPace does not request permission to write HealthKit data.
If you grant access, SalesPace reads cumulative values for the relevant work-session time window and uses those values in field-performance and end-of-session reporting. If you decline HealthKit access, the rest of SalesPace remains usable, but HealthKit-derived step and distance metrics are unavailable.
SalesPace does not use HealthKit information for advertising or marketing. You can review or revoke Health permissions through Apple Health/iOS privacy controls.
5. Microphone and speech recognition
The iOS app can use the microphone and Apple's Speech framework when you choose voice dictation for a door note. SalesPace does not persist the microphone recording as an audio file or upload an audio recording to the SalesPace backend; the recognized text is placed into the same editable notes field that can be typed manually.
Speech recognition is provided through Apple's speech-recognition capabilities, and processing can depend on the device and Apple service availability. Microphone and speech-recognition permissions can be denied or changed in iOS Settings.
6. How we use information
SalesPace uses information as reasonably necessary to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts and workspaces;
- provide CRM, mapping, canvassing, appointment, follow-up, and field workflows;
- record and synchronize authorized door and sales activity;
- operate work sessions, routes, goals, competitions, analytics, and reports;
- provide notifications and device-specific app functionality;
- process marketplace purchases and fulfill purchased data products;
- operate customer-authorized CRM and webhook integrations;
- provide customer support and investigate bugs or account issues;
- enforce permissions, detect abuse, protect users, and secure the service;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of SalesPace; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce agreements.
7. Organizations, teams, and manager visibility
SalesPace supports personal workspaces and company workspaces. Information created in a company workspace is not necessarily private from that company.
Depending on role and permissions, authorized managers, admins, and super admins may be able to view team activity, CRM records, dispositions, appointments, territories, assignments, reports, performance metrics, work-session data, and field-location or route information associated with work performed in that company workspace.
SalesPace uses workspace and role controls to limit access. A user who belongs to multiple organizations must switch into the applicable workspace, and access is evaluated against that workspace's permissions.
8. CRM, homeowner, and property data
SalesPace customers can create, upload, import, purchase, or synchronize business records about homeowners, prospects, and customers. These records may include names, addresses, contact information, notes, appointment history, sales activity, property attributes, ownership information, and related CRM fields.
In many cases, SalesPace processes this information on behalf of the business customer that controls the workspace. Customer organizations are responsible for determining whether they have authority to collect, upload, purchase, use, contact, or otherwise process individuals represented in their CRM records.
SalesPace also includes a homeowner-data marketplace. The implemented marketplace can obtain property and ownership records from RentCast and deliver qualifying records into the purchasing customer's SalesPace workspace. Property-data fields can include address, ownership, assessor/property attributes, sales/tax information, and other provider-supplied property data.
9. Payments and marketplace purchases
SalesPace uses Stripe Checkout for implemented web marketplace purchases. Payment information entered into Stripe's checkout experience is processed by Stripe. SalesPace receives and stores operational transaction information such as order identifiers, checkout/session identifiers, amount, payment status, purchaser, product, and fulfillment status.
SalesPace does not need your full payment-card number to fulfill an order through the implemented Stripe Checkout flow.
10. Service providers and integrations
SalesPace may use third-party service providers and technology partners to operate, maintain, secure, analyze, and improve the service. These providers may support functions such as cloud infrastructure, authentication, mapping and location services, communications, payments, property-data services, analytics, customer support, and other product functionality.
These providers may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services to SalesPace or to you, subject to applicable agreements, privacy requirements, and law.
When you or an authorized administrator chooses to connect SalesPace with an external service, SalesPace may exchange information necessary to provide the requested integration, which may include contact, lead, note, appointment, owner, pipeline, opportunity, or sales information. External services may process that information under their own privacy terms in addition to applicable agreements with SalesPace or the customer organization.
12. Browser and device storage
The web application uses browser storage, including local storage and limited cookies, for functions such as authentication/session handling, interface preferences, offline or queued field activity, and synchronization state.
The iOS app also stores certain operational state on-device, such as app preferences, device identity information, and unsynchronized route points needed to recover or complete a work session. That local state can later be synchronized with the SalesPace backend where the feature requires it.
13. Retention
SalesPace retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and organization records, complete customer-authorized business workflows, protect the platform, resolve disputes, support customers, comply with legal obligations, and maintain records that an organization is entitled to keep.
The codebase does not impose one universal retention period for every category of SalesPace information. Different records can have different lifecycles depending on workspace ownership, account deletion, customer requirements, legal obligations, and operational needs.
14. Security
SalesPace uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data, including authenticated access, role/workspace authorization, row-level database security, server-side authorization for sensitive operations, controlled integration credentials, and account-management controls.
No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Users and customer organizations are responsible for protecting credentials, maintaining authorized access, configuring integrations appropriately, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use.
15. Your choices and controls
Depending on the feature and platform, you can:
- change location, HealthKit, microphone, speech, and notification permissions in iOS;
- disable browser location access through browser/device settings;
- update supported account or profile information;
- switch between authorized personal and company workspaces;
- review privacy/consent decisions where the product presents them;
- export supported personal-account data;
- permanently delete your SalesPace account when deletion requirements are met; and
- contact SalesPace regarding privacy questions or applicable legal rights.
16. Account deletion and data export
SalesPace provides account-and-data controls on the web and in the native iOS app. The personal-data export includes supported personal identity/account information, workspace membership history, portable performance information, consent history, notification preferences, and non-secret device-registration metadata.
Company-owned homeowner/CRM records, detailed company work sessions, routes, territories, and commercial records are intentionally excluded from the personal export because those records can belong to the company workspace rather than the individual user.
Permanent account deletion removes or anonymizes personal SalesPace account data, deletes supported personal support records, removes device registrations, notification preferences, consent events, personal performance snapshots, personal workspace data, and the authentication account. Company-owned CRM, homeowner, route, session, territory, and commercial history may remain with the company after the individual user account is deleted.
Deletion can require you to end an active work session first and, if you are the sole super admin of a company, transfer administrative ownership before deleting your account.
17. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights relating to personal information, which can include rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about certain disclosures, and in some jurisdictions rights to opt out of certain forms of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.
SalesPace provides in-product export and deletion tools for supported personal account data. For rights that are not available through the product, or for questions involving information held in a customer organization's CRM, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity and, where the relevant information is controlled by a SalesPace customer, may direct or coordinate the request with that customer.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit privacy rights that cannot legally be waived. Whether a particular state, national, or international privacy law applies depends on the circumstances.
18. Children's privacy
SalesPace is a business and workforce product and is not directed to children. If SalesPace learns that personal information was collected from a child in a manner prohibited by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address or delete that information.
19. International users
SalesPace is operated as a U.S.-based service. If you access SalesPace from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where SalesPace or its service providers operate. Privacy and data protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.
20. Changes to this policy
SalesPace may update this Privacy Policy as the product, data practices, vendors, or legal requirements change. When a revised policy is published, the "Last updated" date above will be changed. Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided through the website, app, email, or another appropriate channel.
21. Contact
For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact SalesPace at sales@getsalespace.com.
If your request concerns CRM or workforce data controlled by your employer or another SalesPace customer, identify that organization in your message so the request can be routed appropriately.
