Door-to-door sales

Door-to-door sales software for teams that knock every day

Door-to-door selling is a volume business with a memory problem. A team can knock thousands of doors in a week and still not know which streets were covered, which homeowners asked them to come back, or which rep is converting conversations into appointments. SalesPace exists to close that gap: a door knocking app in the rep's pocket and a management CRM for everyone above them, both writing to the same record.

What door-to-door sales software has to do differently

Outside sales tools inherit assumptions from inside sales: a seated user, a keyboard, a stable connection and time to fill in fields. None of that is true on a porch. The rep has thirty seconds between doors, one free hand, sunlight on the screen and sometimes no signal at all. Software that ignores those constraints does not get used, and unused software produces the worst possible outcome — partial data that leadership believes is complete.

SalesPace is designed against those constraints first. The primary interaction is a long-press on a house followed by a single tap on an outcome. Counters sit within thumb reach. Actions are captured on the device and synced when connectivity returns. Everything else — the notes, the appointment, the full record — is available when the rep has a moment, but nothing blocks the next door.

The door knocking app your reps carry

A rep starts a work session when they step out of the truck. From then on SalesPace tracks elapsed time, route distance and steps, and builds live counters for doors knocked, conversations, go-backs, appointments and sales. At the end of the day the rep gets a report of the session, including a breakdown by disposition and a playback of the route they walked.

The map shows the territory with a pin on every address, colored by its last outcome. Reps can search, filter by disposition, drop a pin on a house that is missing from the data, and open a full homeowner record with one tap. From that record they can call, text, email, get directions, dictate a note, and set an appointment, go-back or follow-up.

Follow-ups are a dedicated screen, split into overdue, today and upcoming, because the second and third visit is where most door-to-door revenue actually comes from. A rep who can see exactly who asked them to return at six o'clock does not need to remember it.

  • One-tap dispositions with location, timestamp and rep recorded automatically
  • Disposition-colored map pins so a street reads at a glance
  • Complete homeowner record on every address, with full knock history
  • Overdue, today and upcoming follow-up queues
  • Offline capture with sync when signal returns

The management CRM behind it

Managers do not work from a phone. In SalesPace they get a full desktop CRM: a dashboard of live KPIs and pipeline totals, an opportunities board across the eight canvassing stages, a dense contacts table with search, filters and bulk assignment, an appointments screen, territory drawing and assignment, team administration, reports and integrations.

Because the CRM and the app share one data layer, management is not a reporting exercise conducted after the fact. A disposition recorded on a doorstep appears in the pipeline immediately. A territory assigned in the morning is on the rep's phone before they arrive. An appointment set at the door is on the manager's calendar screen without anyone forwarding anything.

Accountability without micromanagement

The uncomfortable part of door-to-door management is that effort and outcome are both invisible unless you measure them. SalesPace makes both visible in a way that is defensible: not a guess about whether someone worked, but a record of sessions, routes, doors, conversations and outcomes with timestamps.

Used well, that data is a coaching tool rather than a surveillance tool. A rep with high doors and low conversations has a pitch problem at the threshold. A rep with high conversations and low appointments has a closing problem. A rep with strong ratios and low volume needs more territory, not more pressure. Those three people need three different conversations, and the data tells you which is which.

Roles built for how door-to-door teams are organized

Field organizations are layered: reps on the street, team leads and managers running crews, admins running the office, ownership over the top. SalesPace ships Rep, Manager, Admin and Super Admin roles with team assignments, enforced in the database with row-level security rather than by hiding screens.

Administration is handled through trusted server paths: invitations, role changes, team moves, deactivation and reactivation. When a rep leaves, deactivating them cuts access instantly while keeping every knock, note and appointment they created — which is exactly what you want when their territory has to keep producing.

Getting a team live

Most teams start by importing the list they already have. SalesPace takes a CSV of addresses with column mapping, so a purchased list, a serviceability export or an office spreadsheet becomes workable territory quickly. Teams with no list start clean and build one by dropping pins as they knock.

From there, a manager draws territories on the map, assigns them to reps with a date and route instructions, and the team works. Reps install the iPhone app or the installable web app; no laptop, no training deck, and no daily paperwork ritual at the end of the shift.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an app for reps, or is it a website?
Both. There is a native iPhone app for the field workflow, and SalesPace also runs as an installable web app. Managers use the full web CRM on desktop.
What if reps lose signal in the field?
Actions are captured on the device and synced automatically when connectivity returns, so dispositions recorded in a dead zone are not lost.
Do you support teams across multiple markets?
Yes. Territories, teams and role-based access are scoped per organization, so managers see their teams and leadership sees the whole operation.
